Security in the Product Registry and Probas
Security is of the essence when the notifications are processed by employees at the Product Registry and when your company needs access to Probas.
The Product Registry processes and maintains the information under special security measures. For instance, the information is stored in separate and monitored archives. And only employees with special clearance have access to the confidential information in the database, and only they are allowed to process the notifications.
The data in the Product Registry is protected by high security standards under the rules laid down in Executive Order on the Register of Substances and Materials. One security feature is that access to Probas requires a digital signature and a special password. This ensures that companies can only access their own confidential information. In addition, all communication to and from the system is encrypted, so there is no risk of any data falling into the wrong hands.
In the notification, you can state which data should be treated as confidential. You must give reasons for this.
