Notification of substances and materials to the Product Registry

About the Product Registry

The Product Registry provides an overview of chemicals in Denmark, and the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the Danish Working Environment Authority use this knowledge in their risk prevention work.

The Product Registry has an electronic register, Probas, that gives an overview of the use of chemicals in Denmark. Chemical substances can present hazards affecting health, the environment, and working conditions. In order to limit the risks the authorities must know where and in what quantities chemical products are being used and what their composition is.

Who uses the Registry?

The information in the Product Registry provides input for the Danish Working Environment Authority's and the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's prioritisation of their efforts and regulation, control, risk assessment and monitoring, as well as preparation of statistics.
