Notification of substances and materials to the Product Registry

More knowledge about substances, materials and products

Here you can read more about substances, materials and products, e.g. what is SPIN?

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency assesses the hazardous properties of chemicals, negotiates and manages rules and regulations on their use, and supervises compliance with the regulations.

The SPIN substance database is a database containing non-confidential information on chemical substances from the Product Registers of each of the Nordic countries. The information includes the number of products and quantities broken down by industry and product type. SPIN was established by the Nordic Chemicals Group set up under the Nordic Council of Ministers and is updated once a year.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has established a REACH Helpdesk (in Danish). REACH is a new EU regulation on chemicals and replaces more than 40 previous EU directives and regulations with a single system.

The Confederation of Danish Industry has issued a Guide to REACH (in Danish).

On the WEA website you can find a special theme on REACH (in Danish).

The Nordic Product Registers

The Nordic Product Registers cooperate closely with each other, but do not exchange notified information. Each country has its own notification forms, so a notifier cannot use the same form for different countries.
